Customer Review: Good, but not impressive
I bought this TV on Jan. 22nd 2009 for, I believe, a very good price ($1600)
The picture on this Sharp looks watery; one could see the pixels moving and not the actual object. It’s hard to explain but I’m not that happy about my new TV.
I went to a Best Buy store and watched few other brands and I realized this model I’ve got (LC52D92U) might not be one of the better ones. Spend a little more and get a Samsung or a Sony Bravia

Customer Review: Awesome for 18 months now
I thoroughly enjoy my tv for 18 months now. I have no issues such as banding at all. My set is hooked to an upconverting dvd player and a good high powered yamaha receiver with a 4 way jbl center speaker and a 350 watt jbl subwoofer with 2 infinity towers. I never even put on the tv speakers due to comments I read. I set the yamaha to simulate 7.1 channels (it is 7.1 capable but can simulate it with 5.1) and I am in movie nirvana. I paid 2800 or so plus 350 fedex shipping 18 months ago ( good deal on ebay) it is cheaper now if you do your homework. BE ADVISED: SHARP WARNED ME WARRANTEE DOES NOT COVER THE SCREEN GLASS AND UNTIL YOU POWER IT UP THERE MAY BE SPIDER CRACKS. Some internet places will not guarantee replacement if you do not make damage claim at the time of delivery and you cannot see spider cracks until you hook it up and turn it on. I did protect myself and was fortunate not to have any issues anyway. It was a major concern. I am totally thrilled with the setup. First rate A/V.
