Customer Review: Best HDTV Ever
I spent over 20 hours researching HD TV’s over a two week period and visited the stores multiple times to view them. I considered plasma, LCD, and DLP TV’s. In my opinion, this TV was superior to the others on the market. It was easy to setup and was up and running in no time. It has a perfect picture. It almost makes the room seem bigger because it is so life like… kind of an extension of the room.

Customer Review: Great TV with one minor annoyance…
I have owned this TV for several months, and definitely enjoy the picture size and quality. As many people have pointed out, the default sound settings are not very good, but you can improve them by modifying the settings or hooking the TV up to an A/V receiver. The only problem I have with the TV is when hooked up via HDMI, when I change inputs (DVR to DVD player) or even change channels where the resolution changes (720p to 1080i), there is delay where the screen goes black and a “Searching for Signals” message appears. Occasionally during this process is an audible pop. I don’t fully know the reason for this, but after searching on the internet, it has something to do with the “HDMI handshake”. Regardless, the solution is to just hit mute when changing inputs. This can be annoying and detracts from my enjoyment of the TV; that’s why it is getting four stars.
Customer Review: Awesome
I have owned this TV for going on a year now. It has been fantastic. The picture quality is insanely clear. I’ve watched plenty of fast action sports and could not discern any “motion blur” whatsoever. There’s literally tons of info on the internet as how to tweak the color settings in the TV’s menus to make it really pop out and to save you some life out of the set. The set itself is really beautiful as well. We’ve had tons of compliments on the asthetics and piano finish. Overall a fantastic buy..especially at what it is now compared to when I bought mine. Good luck and happy viewing.

Customer Review: Nice kitchen counter TV
Got this as an open-box item through Warehouse Deals which worked out completely well. The TV has, as others noted, a good picture and unimpressive sound; plenty loud, but tinny. But for a kitchen counter, it works, it set up rapidly and looks good whether on or off. And in the DTV channel era now here, the set is finding some very interesting channels being delivered by cable that I hadn’t seen before.
Customer Review: Great television for the money
We love this television–it has a great picture. We purchased it for our bedroom to use as our wakeup alarm. You can set the tv to come on at a certain time to a particular channel. Money well spent!

Customer Review: 6mo into ownership, I’d buy it again
I purchased the Samsung LN52A850 in Feb09 to replace a Sony WEGA 30″ HD tube. I spent a lot of time researching various TVs, primarily focused on Sony, but hadn’t considered a Samsung until I started making trips to stores to see them in action. It didn’t take long to cross the Sony systems off my list of choices as their picture quality pales in comparison to the masses. I was, and am still, in shock at how bad the Sony looked compared to the competition. Side-by-side, the clarity of the 850, combined with the price (online available for as low as $2500 at the time) set this system above the field. Product reviews were good, so I bit when the Best Buy rep sold it to me for the online price, almost 800 below their advertised price.
